About SwitchMyApps

SwitchMyApps publishes step-by-step guides for switching from one piece of software to another, such as Squarespace to Shopify, Salesforce to HubSpot, or Substack to beehiiv. Each guide answers the questions you actually have mid-switch: is it worth it, what will it cost, what data moves and what doesn't, and exactly how to do it.

Our editorial approach

• Honest verdicts. Every guide covers who shouldn't switch, too. Sometimes the right answer is to stay where you are, and we'll say so.
• Pros and cons for every tool, including tools we may earn a commission from.
• Data first. We spell out which records move, which don't, and which need a paid tool or manual work.
• Practical steps. Instructions follow each vendor's own documentation, with the menu paths you'll actually click.
• No invented numbers. If we can't confirm a fact from an official source, we leave it out or clearly mark it as unconfirmed. Estimates are labeled as estimates.

How we verify prices and features

1. We check the vendor's own page. Prices and plan limits come from each vendor's official pricing page or help center, not from third-party roundups.
2. We cite the source. Pricing claims link to the page we checked, along with the date we checked it.
3. We flag promotions. If a price is an introductory discount (for example, "first 3 months" or "50% off"), we say so and show the regular price when the vendor publishes it.
4. We re-check regularly. Each guide shows a "last verified" date. Pricing changes often, so always confirm on the vendor's site before you buy.
5. We fix errors. If something is wrong or out of date, tell us at garydbutler@gmail.com and we'll check it and correct the page.
